Position Overview:
I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and utilities contractor, in the recruitment of a Construction Manager to join their Water division.
This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of water infrastructure projects in Dublin, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Candidates must have strong civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure experience and must be willing to travel to site 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the construction delivery of water infrastructure projects.
• Manage and coordinate site teams, Site Agents, Engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
• Monitor progress, productivity, quality and health and safety performance across projects.
• Liaise with Project Managers, clients, consultants, local authorities and key stakeholders.
• Support planning of labour, plant, materials and subcontractor resources.
• Review site progress, identify risks and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Ensure project documentation, reporting and records are maintained.
• Support compliance with company procedures, client requirements and statutory obligations.
• Promote a positive safety and quality culture across site teams.
Requirements:
• Strong experience in construction management, senior site management or project delivery.
• Previous experience in water, utilities, civils, drainage, reinstatement or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Strong Irish construction or utilities experience is preferred.
• Experience managing multiple site teams, subcontractors and live work fronts.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety, quality, programme and construction delivery requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects or work locations.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Valid Safe Pass is required for site visits.
