My client, a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is now seeking an experienced Compliance BCAR Engineer / Inspector to join their Dublin office.

Position Overview:


As the Compliance BCAR Engineer / Inspector, you will join the Compliance Team and play a key role in ensuring the successful discharge of the Assigned Certifier function across a diverse range of construction projects throughout Ireland. Working on projects ranging from large-scale commercial developments to residential schemes, you will coordinate compliance activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all statutory Building Control requirements are met.

This is a full-time permanent position based in the client's Dublin office, offering a flexible hybrid working policy, flexible working hours and the opportunity to work on some of Ireland's most significant construction projects. The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary from €60,000 per year, depending on experience, together with an excellent benefits package, ongoing professional development and outstanding long-term career progression opportunities.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:


• Degree in a construction-related discipline.
• Background as an Architect, Building Surveyor, Civil & Structural Engineer, Mechanical & Electrical Engineer or similar.
• Min 4+ years' experience in construction, compliance, inspection or Building Control.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, Building Control legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience working on complex construction projects.
• Qualification in Building Control or Building Regulations (desirable).
• Training in the role of the Assigned Certifier (desirable).
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
Full working rights in Ireland.

Responsibilities:


• Support the Assigned Certifier in discharging statutory obligations under the Building Control Regulations.
• Prepare and complete Commencement Notices and Completion Notices.
• Develop, manage and monitor project Inspection Plans.
• Compile Completion Certificates and Ancillary Certificates.
• Collect and review product certification and compliance documentation from contractors.
• Attend client meetings, design team meetings and site inspections across Ireland.
• Produce detailed inspection reports and track compliance issues through to satisfactory close-out.
• Manage project documentation using the company's cloud-based compliance management system.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, design teams and Building Control Authorities.
• Utilise the Building Control Management System (BCMS) throughout the lifecycle of each project.
• Report regularly to the Assigned Certifier on project progress and compliance matters.
• Correspond with Building Control Authorities as required.
