Position Overview:

I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects, in the recruitment of a Project Engineer to join their team.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a water metering project across Dublin and surrounding counties. This role would suit an experienced Project Engineer or strong Site Engineer with a background in water, civils, utilities, metering, drainage or related infrastructure works.

Candidates must be willing to travel to sites across Dublin and surrounding counties as required. A valid Safe Pass and full clean driving licence are required.

Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of water metering works across Dublin and surrounding counties.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Assist with planning, progress tracking, reporting and project documentation.
• Monitor works against programme and provide regular project updates.
• Support site inspections, quality checks, compliance and issue resolution.
• Review drawings, site information and project requirements where needed.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
• Help maintain accurate project records, reports, site information and handover documentation.
• Support the Project Manager with day to day coordination and delivery requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, Utilities Engineer or similar.
• Experience in water, metering, civils, utilities, drainage or infrastructure works is highly desirable.
• Irish construction or utilities experience is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of site operations, reporting, quality, safety and project documentation.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work with site teams, subcontractors, clients and project stakeholders.
• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Valid Safe Pass is essential.
• Strong organisation, time management and problem solving skills.
