Position Overview:

I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering major road, transport, and infrastructure projects across Ireland, in the recruitment of Senior Engineers to join their team.

These are permanent roles, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, these are not agency or short term roles. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

The successful candidates will support the delivery of the BusConnects project in Dublin from a construction point of view. These roles require strong experience on road projects, along with a strong focus on health and safety, compliance, setting out support, reporting, documentation, and quality on site.

Candidates must be willing to travel to site 5 days per week. A valid Safe Pass and full clean driving licence are required.

Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of road, civils, and infrastructure works on the BusConnects project.
• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and Senior Site Agents.
• Support Junior Engineers with site surveying, setting out, and technical queries.
• Assist with the control of plant, materials, and site resources.
• Ensure works are delivered to a high quality standard.
• Complete site diaries, paperwork, reports, and project documentation.
• Attend site meetings and help resolve any site issues that arise.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are implemented across site activities.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, site teams, and subcontractors where required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, Site Engineer, Setting Out Engineer, or similar.
• Experience working on road projects is essential.
• Experience in civils, drainage, utilities, water, electricity, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Experience providing technical support to Junior Engineers.
• Strong setting out, site surveying, reporting, and documentation experience.
• Relevant qualification in civil engineering, construction, or a related discipline is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Valid Safe Pass is essential.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Confident, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication, organisation, and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
