Position Overview:

I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering power and utility infrastructure projects, in the recruitment of a Senior Project Manager to join their team.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

The successful candidate will lead the successful delivery of multiple ESB infrastructure projects across Dublin and surrounding counties. This is a senior role requiring strong experience across electrical utility infrastructure, including HV, MV, LV and EV infrastructure works.

Experience managing ESB Networks projects and navigating ESB approval processes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple ESB infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
• Manage HV, MV, LV and EV infrastructure works.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, resources and delivery plans.
• Coordinate project teams including engineers, site agents, commercial teams and subcontractors.
• Liaise with ESB Networks, local authorities, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and drive programme performance.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, commercial performance and project reporting.
• Support tender reviews, value engineering, project planning and future work opportunities.
• Promote strong health, safety, environmental and quality standards across all projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience managing utility, power or civil engineering projects.
• Proven experience delivering ESB Networks projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience across HV, MV, LV and EV infrastructure works.
• Excellent understanding of ESB Networks standards, procedures and specifications.
• Experience obtaining and managing ESB approvals is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial, contractual, programme and risk management experience.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or similar is desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
