Position Overview:

I am currently assisting my client, a leading engineering consultancy, in the recruitment of a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Limerick office.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

The successful candidate will lead and support the design of a wide range of structural engineering projects across Ireland and overseas, including residential, commercial, healthcare and industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the design of structural engineering projects.
• Prepare high quality engineering design documentation.
• Work on a broad range of projects across Ireland and overseas.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, design teams and project stakeholders.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with ISO 9001 procedures.
• Support junior team members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
• Attend design meetings and provide practical engineering input.

Requirements:

• Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status is required.
• Member of Engineers Ireland.
• Minimum 5 years’ structural engineering experience.
• Strong structural design and construction knowledge.
• Experience in residential, commercial, healthcare or industrial projects is desirable.
• Strong communication, technical and problem solving skills.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and committed to CPD.
