Position Overview:

I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects, in the recruitment of Site Engineers to join their team.

These are permanent roles, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, these are not agency or short term roles. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

The successful candidates will support the delivery of water infrastructure projects across Dublin and surrounding counties, including CDS, Growth and Development, Reinstatement and Licencing, and Rehab works.

Candidates must be willing to travel to site 5 days per week. A valid Safe Pass and full clean driving licence are required.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out site surveying, setting out and engineering support across water infrastructure projects.
• Provide regular updates to Project Managers and Senior Site Agents.
• Support the delivery of CDS, Growth and Development, Reinstatement and Licencing, and Rehab works.
• Assist with the control of plant, materials, subcontractors and site resources.
• Ensure works are completed safely, accurately and to a high quality standard.
• Complete site diaries, paperwork, reports and project documentation.
• Attend site meetings and help resolve site issues where required.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, site teams and subcontractors as needed.
• Support health and safety compliance across all site activities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer, Setting Out Engineer, Junior Engineer or similar.
• Experience in civils, utilities, water, drainage, reinstatement, rehab or infrastructure works is highly desirable.
• Strong setting out and site surveying experience.
• Irish construction or utilities experience is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of site documentation, reporting, quality and health and safety requirements.
• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Valid Safe Pass is essential.
• Strong communication, organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
