Position Overview:
I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering water infrastructure projects across Dublin and surrounding counties, in the recruitment of a Project Manager to join their team.
This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.
The successful candidate will manage the delivery of key water and wastewater projects, including metering, connections, developer services, growth and development works, and related civil engineering projects. This role would suit a commercially aware Project Manager with strong experience in water, wastewater, civils, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
Candidates must be willing to travel to project sites across Dublin and surrounding counties as required. A valid Safe Pass is required for site based duties.
Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple water infrastructure projects across Dublin and surrounding counties.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee water and wastewater works, including sewer and water connections.
• Review project costs, claims, cost to complete values, and commercial information.
• Prepare and communicate project reports, programme updates, and progress documentation.
• Review drawings, design briefs, and construction requirements to support practical project delivery.
• Coordinate design, environmental, archaeology, and other project related requirements where needed.
• Lead and support project teams, ensuring clear communication, strong performance, and safe delivery.
• Manage site investigation works and support improvements to team processes and supply chain relationships.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Project Manager within water, wastewater, civils, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Irish Water, Uisce Éireann, UK Water, or similar water standards is essential.
• Strong understanding of potable water and foul water standards.
• Experience managing sewer and water connections is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness and reporting ability.
• Confident dealing with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Good understanding of drawings, design briefs, programmes, and project documentation.
• Strong communication, leadership, organisation, and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Relevant qualification in civil engineering, construction management, project management, or similar is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Valid Safe Pass required for site based duties.
Benefits:
• Permanent role working directly with an established civil engineering and utilities contractor.
• Salary negotiable depending on experience.
• Opportunity to work on major water infrastructure projects across Dublin and surrounding counties.
• Strong long term career development potential.
• Varied role across water, wastewater, connections, metering, developer services, and infrastructure delivery.
• Client facing position with responsibility, visibility, and progression potential.
If you meet the above requirements and are seeking an exciting new challenge, please forward your CV for immediate consideration and a confidential call back to discuss the role in more detail.
Your CV will never be sent to anybody without your permission.
