My client, a leading organisation within the automotive and mobility sector, is now seeking an experienced Service Manager to join their team in Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Position Overview:

As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a busy Service, Maintenance and Repair department, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and strong commercial performance. Managing a team of Service Advisors and Technicians, you will play a key role in driving service standards, maximising productivity, and ensuring customers receive a professional and seamless experience from start to finish.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of €58,000 per annum, together with an annual performance bonus of up to 5% and a company vehicle. Working on a Monday to Friday schedule, you will join a growing organisation where strong leadership, people management, and operational experience are essential to success.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience within a motor dealership Service or Aftersales environment.
• Minimum 2+ years' experience in a Service Manager, Aftersales Manager, Workshop Controller, or senior leadership position within a dealership.
• Proven experience leading and developing Service Advisors, Technicians, and workshop teams.
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, productivity management, and customer service delivery.
• Experience managing departmental KPIs, budgets, and performance targets.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
• Good working knowledge of dealership management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Service Department.
• Lead, motivate, and develop Service Advisors, Technicians, and support staff.
• Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
• Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and utilisation.
• Manage departmental KPIs, budgets, and performance targets.
• Oversee service bookings, workflow planning, and resource allocation.
• Resolve customer concerns and escalated issues professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and company procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the service operation.
