My client, a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is now seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their Limerick office.

Position Overview:

As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key leadership role within the structural engineering team, taking responsibility for the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects throughout Ireland and overseas. You will lead engineering teams, mentor junior staff and ensure the successful delivery of projects from concept through to construction.

Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams, you will prepare high-quality structural designs while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with ISO 9001 quality procedures. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer or Member of Engineers Ireland (or working towards chartership with equivalent experience).
• Min 5+ years' experience in Structural Engineering design and construction.
• Strong experience designing structures using relevant engineering software.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations, Eurocodes and industry standards.
• Full working rights in Ireland.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the structural design and delivery of a wide range of engineering projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, reports, drawings and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and technical deliverables.
• Mentor and support graduate and intermediate engineers.
• Attend client meetings, design reviews and site visits.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards and company ISO 9001 procedures.
• Contribute to business development through building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards.
