My client, a leading food manufacturing business, now seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Manager to join their site leadership team based in Co. Wicklow.

Position Overview:

As the Food Safety & Quality Manager, you will take ownership of the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with all legislative, customer and industry standards. This is a highly visible, hands-on position where you will work closely with production teams, lead food safety initiatives, oversee quality processes and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract based in Bray, Co. Wicklow. The position is fully site-based, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a salary of up to €59,000 per annum depending on experience.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience within a Food Safety, Quality or Technical role in a food manufacturing environment
• 2+ years' experience in a Food Safety, Quality or Technical Management position
• Food manufacturing experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and Food Safety Management Systems
• Experience working within BRC, FSSC 22000, ISO or equivalent quality standards
• Previous experience leading or managing quality teams
• Strong understanding of internal and external audit processes
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work closely with production teams
• Full working rights in Ireland

Responsibilities:

• Manage and continuously improve the site's Food Safety & Quality Management Systems
• Ensure compliance with all food safety legislation, customer standards and company procedures
• Lead internal and external audits and manage audit preparation
• Drive food safety culture throughout the manufacturing facility
• Manage customer complaints, non-conformances and corrective actions
• Oversee quality assurance activities across the production process
• Work closely with production teams to maintain high quality standards
• Manage supplier quality requirements where applicable
• Lead quality investigations and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Train, coach and support employees on food safety and quality procedures
• Produce quality reports and communicate key performance indicators to senior management
