My client, a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is now seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their Dublin office.

Position Overview:


As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key leadership role within the structural engineering team, leading the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects throughout Ireland and overseas. Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams, you will deliver innovative, practical and cost-effective structural engineering solutions while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with the company's ISO 9001 quality procedures.

You will take ownership of projects from concept through to construction, oversee technical deliverables, mentor junior engineers and contribute to maintaining the consultancy's reputation for engineering excellence.

This is a full-time permanent position based in the client's Dublin office, offering a flexible remote working policy and flexible working hours to support a healthy work-life balance. The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary from €70,000 per year, together with an excellent benefits package, ongoing professional development and outstanding career progression opportunities.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:


• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Member of Engineers Ireland and preferably a Member of IStructE.
• Min 6+ years' experience in Structural Engineering design and construction.
• Strong experience designing structures using reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and timber.
• Excellent knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations and structural design best practice.
• Proven experience managing structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Strong communication, leadership and client relationship management skills.
• Experience mentoring graduate and intermediate engineers.
Full working rights in Ireland.

Responsibilities:


• Lead the structural design and delivery of residential, commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and public infrastructure projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams throughout all project stages.
• Attend client meetings, design coordination meetings and site visits.
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation, engineering standards and company ISO 9001 quality procedures.
• Manage project programmes, technical deliverables and project budgets.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting continuous professional development.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development opportunities.
• Deliver high-quality engineering solutions safely, efficiently and within project deadlines.
