My client, a well-established Managed IT Services provider, is currently seeking an experienced Level 2/3 Infrastructure Support Engineer to their technical team based in Dublin 22.

Position Overview:

As the Level 2/3 Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will provide second-line technical support across a variety of customer environments, resolving complex infrastructure issues while supporting both cloud and on-premise technologies. You will work closely with senior engineers and service desk teams, assisting with infrastructure projects, maintaining secure IT environments and helping drive continuous service improvement.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Dublin 22 operating on a hybrid working model, offering an excellent work-life balance while maintaining close collaboration with the wider technical team.

The salary for this position is €50,000 to €60,000 per year, depending on experience, together with ongoing training, professional development and excellent opportunities to progress into senior infrastructure and cloud engineering roles.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience within an IT Infrastructure Support or Systems Administration role
• Previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is highly desirable
• Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Experience administering Microsoft Azure / Entra ID
• Active Directory administration experience
• Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Switching & Routing)
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• CCNA or equivalent certification is highly desirable
• Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, MS-102) would be advantageous
• Experience with PowerShell, Fortinet or cybersecurity technologies would be beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 technical support for escalated incidents and service requests
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID environments
• Troubleshoot server, networking and virtualisation issues
• Assist with server deployments, migrations, upgrades and infrastructure projects
• Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
• Assist with security incidents and the implementation of security controls
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and knowledge base articles
• Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 3 engineers to deliver excellent customer service
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with technical development where required
• Build strong relationships with customers while maintaining high service standards
