My Client, one of Irelands leading construction contractors are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor delivering high-profile construction projects across the Greater Dublin area. The role offers strong career progression, structured training, and the opportunity to work closely with senior commercial professionals on large-scale developments.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial performance of projects from early stages through to final account. You will play a key role in cost control, contract management, and supporting successful project delivery, while continuing your development toward Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the procurement and appointment of subcontractors
• Support the preparation and administration of subcontract agreements
• Manage subcontractor valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Review design information and provide cost advice to the project team
• Identify and drive value engineering opportunities
• Prepare and agree monthly valuations with the client’s representative
• Contribute to internal cost reporting, including cost vs value reconciliations and forecasting
• Assist in the preparation of final account submissions
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to senior project stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the wider project team
Requirements:
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (Level 8 or higher)
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
• Experience working with a main contractor or on large-scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Proven ability to manage subcontractor relationships
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of software such as Bluebeam, CostX, or Cubit (training can be provided)
