Project Manager – Dublin City Centre (Large Commercial Project)

My Client, one of Irelands leading construction contractors are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their growing team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of a large-scale commercial development in Dublin City Centre. You will be joining a highly reputable main contractor known for delivering complex, high-value projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a major project from inception through to completion. You will lead the site team, manage stakeholders, and ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership to the project team, driving performance across all aspects of delivery
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project
• Develop and manage the project programme, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved
• Implement short and medium-term planning strategies to mitigate project risks
• Oversee quality control processes in line with company standards and specifications
• Take ownership of the commercial performance of the project in collaboration with the commercial team
• Manage procurement of subcontractors and suppliers in line with programme requirements
• Lead value engineering initiatives and drive cost-effective project solutions
• Ensure clear and consistent communication across all project stakeholders
• Provide accurate reporting, forecasting, and updates to senior management
• Chair and attend project meetings, ensuring all actions are tracked and delivered

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 7+ years’ post-qualification experience in construction
• Proven track record delivering large-scale commercial or industrial projects
• Strong leadership and team management experience
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Strong knowledge of current building regulations and certification standards
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and project reporting tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to take full ownership of project delivery
