Civil Foreman – Cork

My Client, one of Irelands leading construction contractors are currently recruiting for a Civil Foreman to join their growing team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Foreman to join a leading main contractor delivering high-quality projects in the Cork region. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing civil works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all civils activities on site. You will work closely with site teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery of works in line with programme, safety, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all civil works activities on site
• Work closely with Health & Safety teams to maintain a safe and compliant site
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor subcontractor performance
• Ensure works are delivered in line with project programme and deadlines
• Provide clear direction and leadership to site teams and subcontractors
• Monitor quality of works and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
• Report progress and issues to the Site Manager
• Promote teamwork and maintain a positive working environment on site

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in a Civil Foreman role on construction or civils projects
• Strong background in civil works and site supervision
• Experience managing teams and coordinating multiple subcontractors
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver within programme constraints
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
