Mechanical & Electrical Graduate Engineer – Dublin

My Client, one of Irelands leading construction contractors are currently recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Graduate Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to join a leading main contractor and gain hands-on experience on major construction projects in the Dublin area. The successful candidate will work as part of a site team, supporting the coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical services across a range of high-profile developments.

The Role

You will work closely with the Building Services team and site personnel to support the delivery of MEP packages, gaining exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle including installation, quality assurance, testing, and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

• Support the coordination and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and sprinkler packages on site
• Monitor and report on MEP systems progress in preparation for testing and commissioning
• Assist in tracking area completions and handover readiness
• Attend project meetings and contribute to progress reporting
• Monitor quality of MEP installations and liaise with subcontractors to resolve issues
• Carry out checks to ensure installations align with design specifications and drawings
• Assist with QA/QC inspections, including wall and ceiling closure checks
• Support temporary electrical audits and ensure follow-up actions are completed
• Assist in the preparation and submission of BCAR and Safety File documentation
• Work closely with subcontractors and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
• Strong interest in building services and construction projects
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (academic or placement experience)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
