I am currently assisting my client, a well-established building and civil contractor, in the recruitment of a Project Manager / Site Manager to join their team.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Position Overview:

My client is seeking a hands-on Project Manager / Site Manager to oversee residential development projects in South Dublin.

The successful candidate will initially oversee two residential projects. The first is a live high-end traditional build housing development in Knocklyon, currently on phase 2, with 4 houses remaining to be completed over an expected minimum 9-month programme. The second is an upcoming 15-unit residential development in Rathmines.

This is a long-term permanent position, as the company has a strong pipeline of upcoming work in the Dublin area and is looking for the right person to join the business on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across residential development projects.
• Manage subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site personnel.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high-quality standard.
• Coordinate works across the live Knocklyon site and upcoming Rathmines project.
• Manage programme, site logistics, sequencing, materials and labour requirements.
• Liaise with the client, design team, engineers, subcontractors and senior management.
• Review drawings, specifications and site details, raising queries where required.
• Maintain strong control of finishes, quality, snagging and handover standards.
• Ensure site health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Manage site records, progress reporting, meetings and project documentation.
• Drive projects through to completion while maintaining cost, quality and programme control.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Site Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager or Senior Foreman.
• Strong residential construction experience is highly desirable.
• Experience managing traditional build housing or small/medium residential developments.
• Ability to oversee multiple live projects or workstreams.
• Strong hands-on site management style.
• Good knowledge of subcontractor coordination, programme management and finishing standards.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Ability to read drawings and manage technical/site queries.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Full driving licence required.
• Safe Pass required.
• Trade background, construction qualification, First Aid, Manual Handling, SMSTS/IOSH or similar would be beneficial.
