My client, a busy pub, is currently seeking experienced Waiting Staff member to join their team based in Co. Westmeath.

Position Overview:

As Waiting Staff, you will provide friendly, attentive food and beverage service within a busy pub environment, with some bar service involved.

This role would suit an outgoing and lively hospitality professional who enjoys interacting with customers and can confidently manage the day-to-day bustle of a busy pub.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 11AM to 8PM, offering €15 – €16.50 per hour, depending on experience, with paid breaks and tips in addition to hourly pay. The preferred start date is 14 October 2026.

This role will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis. This is not an agency or short-term role. I am assisting my client in finding a suitable candidate to join their team directly.

Requirements:

• Previous waiting experience within a busy pub, restaurant or similar hospitality environment
• An outgoing, friendly personality and a strong customer service approach
• Ability to work efficiently and remain organised during busy service periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling customer queries
• Willingness to assist with bar service as required
• A reliable, professional and proactive approach to work
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 11am–8pm
• Full right to work in Ireland

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high service standards
• Assist with bar service as required
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams
• Clear and reset tables and maintain clean, organised service areas
• Process payments accurately
• Handle customer queries professionally
• Support service across the pub, function room and beer garden as required
• Follow food hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
