My client, a well-established hospitality venue, is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Kitchen Porter to join their team on a full-time basis in East Clare.

Position Overview:

As the Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for supporting the kitchen team with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, washing kitchen equipment and assisting with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties as required.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 5 days over 7, Monday to Sunday, across two shift patterns of 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, offering a pay rate of €15.00 per hour.

This role will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis. This is not an agency or short-term role. I am assisting my client in finding a suitable candidate to join their team directly.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar kitchen environment is desirable
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with the physical demands of a kitchen role
• Flexible availability Monday to Sunday across both shift patterns
• Full right to work in Ireland

Responsibilities:

• Washing and cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, pots and pans
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas
• Keeping floors, work surfaces and storage areas clean and organised
• Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
• Receiving and storing deliveries as required
• Following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Ensuring cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment are stored correctly
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Assisting with opening and closing duties as required
