My client, a leading provider of IT solutions and infrastructure services, is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their growing team based in Cork.

Position Overview:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing onsite technical support, maintenance and project services across customer locations. This will include troubleshooting, hardware support, networking issues, installations, upgrades and general IT service delivery.

This is a full-time permanent position based in Cork, offering a salary of €31,000 – €39,000 depending on experience, with a company vehicle provided

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm, with participation in a 1 in 3 week on-call rotation. On-call includes a €250 allowance plus any applicable overtime payments.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis. This is not an agency or short-term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• Min 2+ years’ experience in a similar field-based IT support role required
• Previous Field Service Engineer experience is essential
• Strong hardware and networking experience
• EPOS and AV experience highly desirable
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Flexible approach with the ability to travel to customer sites
• Full clean Irish or European driving licence essential
• Must currently reside in Ireland and have full working rights

Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite IT maintenance and technical support to customers
• Carry out hardware repairs, troubleshooting and installations
• Support networking issues and general IT infrastructure requirements
• Complete projects including installations, upgrades and equipment changes
• Support EPOS and AV equipment (advantageous)
• Carry out break/fix repairs and general service requests
• Keep customers updated on progress and provide excellent customer service
• Update internal systems and helpdesk teams throughout each job
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and equipment used
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company and health & safety procedures
