My client, a leading and well-established landscaping contractor, now seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to join their team and oversee landscaping works across the Dublin region.
Position Overview:
As the Landscape Construction Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating a landscaping crew across a variety of projects throughout the Leinster region. You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and Safety Officer, taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation of works, employees, materials and site deliveries.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Typical working hours are 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, depending on the time of year.
The position offers a competitive rate starting from €21.00 per hour, depending on experience, along with a company van and opportunities for overtime, training and long-term progression within the business.
The role involves travel between project locations throughout Leinster, so candidates must hold a full driving licence and be comfortable travelling to different sites as required.
This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis. This is not an agency or short-term role. I am assisting my client in finding a suitable candidate to join their team directly.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years' landscaping/foreman experience
• Previous experience managing or supervising a crew
• Strong knowledge of landscaping works
• Full, clean driving licence
• Valid Safe Pass
• Valid Manual Handling certification
• CSCS qualifications are highly desirable, including Excavator, Site Dumper and/or Telehandler
• Spraying Certificate is desirable
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Highly motivated and self-driven approach to work
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent attention to detail
• Willingness to travel to different project locations throughout Dublin
Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise a landscaping crew on site
• Coordinate daily works to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Liaise closely with the Contracts Manager regarding project progress and requirements
• Liaise with the Safety Officer to maintain high health & safety standards
• Coordinate and manage deliveries to site
• Oversee and participate in planting works
• Carry out and supervise grass seeding
• Oversee the laying of bark mulch
• Ensure work is completed in line with project specifications and deadlines
• Maintain strong standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Support the team with hands-on landscaping duties where required
• Ensure safe working practices are maintained across the site
• Travel to project locations throughout the Dublin region as required
