My client, a well-established and growing professional services firm, is now seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their team in Co. Tipperary.
Position Overview:
As a Qualified Accountant, you will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements and tax returns, providing business and taxation advice, and building strong, long-term client relationships.
This role would suit a qualified accountant with previous practice experience who is looking to join a supportive and collaborative team, where they can continue to develop their career while working with a varied client base.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary starting from €60,000 depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday in a primarily office-based role during the initial onboarding period, with the opportunity to move to a hybrid working model thereafter.
The successful candidate will join my client directly on a permanent basis. This is not an agency or short-term assignment; I am assisting my client in sourcing a suitable candidate to become a long-term member of their team.
Requirements:
• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified.
• Minimum 3+ years' post-qualified experience within an Irish accountancy practice.
• Minimum 5+ years' experience working in an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong experience preparing year-end financial statements, management accounts and tax returns.
• Good working knowledge of Irish tax legislation, including Corporation Tax, Income Tax and VAT.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients and building long-term client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and Irish accounting standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong IT skills with experience using accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite.
• A full, clean driving licence is desirable.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
• Prepare year-end financial statements and management accounts.
• Prepare and review corporation tax, income tax and VAT returns.
• Provide business, financial and taxation advice to clients.
• Liaise directly with clients, Revenue and other third parties.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Support and mentor junior members of the team.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
