I am currently assisting my client, a leading Tier 1 construction contractor, in the recruitment of an experienced Site Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day construction activities on a large-scale new-build development in County Meath. The project is at commencement stage and is expected to run for approximately two years.

This is a permanent, site-based position offering an excellent opportunity to play an important role in the delivery of a major construction project.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate daily construction activities on site.
• Supervise subcontractors, direct labour and specialist contractors.
• Ensure works progress in accordance with the construction programme.
• Coordinate site logistics, labour, plant, materials and deliveries.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain the required quality standards.
• Implement and maintain health and safety procedures.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Senior Engineer and commercial team.
• Review short-term programmes and identify potential delays.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate snagging, completion and handover activities.
• Ensure subcontractors have the information and resources required to complete their work.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on substantial new-build projects.
• Previous experience working for an established main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics and subcontractor management.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and work packages.
• Relevant construction-management qualification or a strong trade background.
• Excellent leadership, organisation and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and quality.
• Valid Safe Pass.
• Full clean driving licence.
