I am currently assisting my client, a leading Tier 1 construction contractor, in the recruitment of a Senior Engineer to join their team.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the engineering and technical delivery of a large-scale new-build development in County Kildare. The project is at commencement stage and is expected to run for approximately two years.

This is a permanent, site-based position offering the opportunity to join an established contractor and contribute to the delivery of a significant new-build project.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for engineering and technical matters on site.
• Manage setting out and ensure works are completed accurately.
• Review drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Coordinate technical information with consultants, subcontractors and the site team.
• Identify design discrepancies and raise RFIs where required.
• Manage quality inspections, records and supporting documentation.
• Supervise and support Site Engineers and Junior Engineers.
• Maintain accurate site records and as-built information.
• Monitor subcontractor works for accuracy and compliance.
• Support the Project Manager in maintaining the construction programme.
• Ensure engineering activities meet health and safety and quality requirements.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous Senior Engineer experience on substantial new-build projects.
• Strong setting-out, technical coordination and quality-management experience.
• Previous main-contractor experience.
• Ability to manage and support other members of the engineering team.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Safe Pass.
• Full clean driving licence.
