I am currently assisting my client, a leading Tier 1 construction contractor, in the recruitment of an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will assume overall responsibility for the delivery of a large-scale new-build development in County Meath. The project is at commencement stage and is expected to run for approximately two years.

This is a permanent, site-based position offering responsibility for the project programme, site team, subcontractors, client relationship, quality and overall construction delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the project from commencement through construction, completion and handover.
• Develop, maintain and monitor the construction programme.
• Lead the site management, engineering and project delivery teams.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and design teams.
• Oversee procurement and identify important long-lead materials and packages.
• Monitor progress and ensure the project is delivered safely and to the required quality standards.
• Work closely with the commercial team to monitor costs, variations and project performance.
• Chair project meetings and provide clear progress reports.
• Maintain effective relationships with the client and project stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, potential delays and appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate completion, commissioning and handover activities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing substantial new-build construction projects.
• Previous experience working for an established main contractor.
• Strong programme management, procurement and subcontractor-management experience.
• Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Relevant construction, engineering or project-management qualification.
• Excellent leadership, client-management and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, quality and construction compliance.
• Valid Safe Pass.
• Full clean driving licence.
