I am currently assisting my client, a leading Tier 1 construction contractor, in the recruitment of an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the delivery of a large-scale new-build development in County Kildare. The project is at commencement stage and is expected to run for approximately two years.

This permanent, site-based position offers responsibility for the construction programme, project team, subcontractors, design coordination, client relationship and successful delivery of the project.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the project from commencement through construction and handover.
• Develop, maintain and monitor the construction programme.
• Lead the engineering, site management and project delivery teams.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.
• Coordinate design development, procurement and technical information.
• Monitor progress, safety, quality and overall project performance.
• Work closely with the commercial team on procurement, costs and variations.
• Chair site and project meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Maintain effective communication with the client, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks or delays and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee completion, commissioning and handover requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing substantial new-build construction projects.
• Previous experience working for an established main contractor.
• Strong programme management, procurement and design-coordination experience.
• Demonstrable ability to manage project teams and subcontractors.
• Relevant construction, engineering or project-management qualification.
• Excellent leadership, organisation and client-management skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, quality and construction compliance.
• Valid Safe Pass.
• Full clean driving licence.
