My client, a leading provider of integrated catering, retail, and facilities services, is seeking an experienced Site Lead / General Manager to take full ownership of a high-profile site based in Cork City, Co. Cork.

Position Overview:

As the Site Lead, you will take full operational and commercial responsibility for a dynamic site that incorporates both retail and catering units, acting as the key link between on-site operations and senior leadership.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who has operated at General Manager, Area Manager, or Site GM level, with responsibility for driving performance, leading large teams, and delivering an exceptional customer experience across multiple service streams.

You will be responsible for overall site performance, including team leadership, operational excellence, financial performance, and continuous improvement, while maintaining a strong presence on the floor and leading by example.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of €40,000 per year, working on a 5 over 7 schedule (Monday to Sunday rotation).

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• Min 5+ years’ Irish experience in a senior leadership role within catering, retail, or hospitality
• Proven experience managing multi-unit or multi-service operations (retail + food service)
• Strong commercial awareness with experience driving performance, KPIs, and service standards
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and health & safety compliance
• Experience leading, developing, and managing large teams
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to take full ownership of site operations and performance

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the day-to-day and strategic running of both retail and catering operations on site
• Lead, manage, and develop a multi-disciplinary team across all service areas
• Drive commercial performance, customer experience, and operational excellence
• Monitor KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions
• Ensure high standards across food quality, retail presentation, and service delivery
• Maintain full compliance with HACCP and health & safety regulations
• Act as the key on-site contact for senior stakeholders and client representatives
• Support recruitment, training, and succession planning across the site
• Report on site performance and collaborate with senior leadership
