My client, a leading provider of catering, retail, and facilities management services, is seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to join their team based in Co. Waterford.

Position Overview:

As the General Manager, you will take full operational responsibility across a multi-site environment, overseeing catering and retail services while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, compliance, and customer experience.

This is a senior leadership role suited to an experienced operator with a strong culinary background, who is confident managing multiple teams, driving performance, and maintaining excellent client relationships. You will lead from the front, bringing a positive, solutions-focused attitude while ensuring a consistently high-quality offering across all sites.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of €50,000 – €55,000 per year, with a schedule primarily Monday to Friday during daytime hours.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• Min 5+ years’ experience in a General Manager / Site Lead / Senior Operations role within catering, retail, or hospitality
• Strong culinary background with a solid understanding of food operations
• Proven experience managing multi-site or multi-unit environments
• Highly customer-focused, with a strong understanding of service delivery and client expectations
• Strong IT and administrative skills, including reporting, scheduling, and performance tracking
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and health & safety compliance
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Positive, proactive approach with the ability to lead and motivate teams

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations across multiple sites, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
• Lead, manage, and develop on-site teams across catering and retail functions
• Drive performance across all sites, including financial targets, KPIs, and service standards
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and overall customer experience
• Maintain full compliance with HACCP and health & safety regulations
• Act as the main point of contact for client stakeholders across sites
• Manage reporting, administration, and operational systems effectively
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement operational enhancements
• Support recruitment, training, and team development across the business
