My client, a well-established and growing plant hire company, is seeking an experienced and qualified Construction Plant Fitter to join their team based in Dublin 22.

Position Overview:

As a Construction Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a busy fleet of construction machinery, ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

You will work both in the workshop and on-site when required, carrying out diagnostics and repairs across a range of plant equipment. This is a Monday to Friday role with no weekend work, offering an excellent work-life balance alongside a competitive salary of €50,000 per year.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified Construction Plant Fitter (or equivalent mechanical qualification)
• Min of 3+ years’ Irish experience working specifically with construction plant machinery
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Proven experience with equipment such as excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers
• Full, clean driver’s licence
• Ability to fault-find and resolve issues efficiently
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently

Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, and repair construction plant machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
• Attend site breakdowns when required using company transport during working hours
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
• Liaise with the operations team to ensure maximum fleet availability
