My client, a well-established and highly regarded hotel, is currently seeking a detail-oriented Hotel Reservations Executive to join their team based in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
Position Overview:
As the Hotel Reservations Executive, you will play a key role in managing group and tour bookings from enquiry through to arrival. Working within a busy hotel office environment, you will liaise with internal departments such as Sales and Revenue, as well as external tour operators and clients, ensuring all bookings are handled accurately and professionally.
This is a full-time, office-based position in Kilkenny, offering a salary of from €16 per hour depending on experience. The role is primarily Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm, working 5 days over 7, and is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and previous hotel reservations or reception experience.
This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.
Requirements:
• Min 2+ years’ experience in a hotel reception or reservations role
• Previous experience dealing with tour groups is essential
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with a hotel booking system is essential (Rezlynx an advantage)
• Familiarity with ResDiary or similar booking platforms is beneficial
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Additional languages are an advantage
Responsibilities:
• Manage group and FIT booking enquiries, liaising with Sales and Revenue teams to confirm availability and rates
• Create and maintain bookings within the system, ensuring all details are accurate and up to date
• Coordinate room allocations, rate codes, and billing details for group bookings
• Prepare and manage rooming lists, ensuring all information is received and entered correctly
• Organise dining arrangements for groups, including booking times via ResDiary
• Handle pro-forma invoicing and billing queries in line with company procedure
• Monitor and update group booking statuses, including follow-ups and confirmations
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, tour operators, and internal departments
• Support reservations and reception as required, including handling overflow calls
• Ensure all administration is completed accurately and in a timely manner
