I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and external works contractor, in the recruitment of two Site Engineers to join their team in Dublin.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis. This is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

These positions would suit engineers with practical site experience who can carry out setting out independently and work closely with site management to maintain technical accuracy, quality and progress.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out accurate setting out from construction drawings and specifications.
• Review drawings, identify discrepancies and raise technical queries.
• Complete inspections and maintain quality control records.
• Prepare and maintain as-built information, site diaries and progress records.
• Assist with quantities, material requirements and construction sequencing.
• Coordinate with site managers, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Support and mentor junior engineering staff where required.

Requirements:

• Relevant engineering qualification and practical site engineering experience.
• Strong setting out skills on civil engineering, groundworks or related projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings and resolve site queries.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong technical record keeping and attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to travel reliably to project locations across County Dublin.

Benefits:

• Salary of €55,000–€80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Permanent PAYE employment directly with the company.
