I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and external works contractor, in the recruitment of a Project Manager to join their team in Dublin.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis. This is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

The successful candidate will report to the Contracts Manager and take responsibility for project delivery from site establishment through to completion and handover. Candidates with civil engineering, groundworks or related external works experience would be particularly suitable.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage construction programmes, procurement schedules and resource plans.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and design consultants.
• Plan labour, plant and materials to maintain progress.
• Work with the commercial team on project costs, variations and reporting.
• Maintain health and safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Manage client communication and chair progress meetings.
• Coordinate completion records and project handover.

Requirements:

• Proven project management experience in civil engineering, groundworks or related construction projects.
• Strong planning, procurement and team management skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings and resolve technical issues.
• Relevant construction or engineering qualifications.
• Experience with construction programming software and AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to travel reliably to project locations across County Dublin.

Benefits:

• Salary of €75,000–€95,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Permanent PAYE employment directly with the company.
