I am currently assisting my client, a growing Irish-owned mechanical services contractor, in the recruitment of an experienced Mechanical Project Manager.

This is a permanent position directly with the company and is not an agency or short-term contract.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will manage the delivery of mechanical and HVAC projects throughout Dublin, overseeing programme, budget, resources, quality and client requirements.

Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager, you will coordinate closely with site management, engineering, operations and supply-chain teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage project programmes, resources and deliverables.
• Oversee project budgets, costs and commercial performance.
• Coordinate Site Managers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage project scope, variations and change requests.
• Monitor progress and provide clear updates to senior management and clients.
• Lead project and coordination meetings.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment and procurement requirements.
• Identify project risks and implement appropriate solutions.
• Ensure work complies with quality, safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain accurate project reports and documentation.
• Support and develop junior members of the project team.
• Manage projects through to commissioning and handover.

Requirements:

• At least five years’ relevant project-management experience.
• Strong experience within mechanical contracting, HVAC or building services is essential.
• Proven ability to manage programme, cost, resources, risk and quality.
• Good understanding of mechanical construction methods and project delivery.
• Strong leadership, communication and client-management skills.
• Comfortable managing several priorities and working to tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with project-management and Microsoft Office software.
• A degree in Engineering or Construction Management would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Experienced trade-qualified Mechanical Project Managers will also be considered.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland.
