My client, a well-established and growing business, is now seeking an experienced C Licence Driver to join their team based in Co. Meath on a permanent, full-time basis.

Position Overview:

As the C Licence Driver, you will be responsible for completing nationwide deliveries from the company's base in Co. Meath. This is a hands-on driving position involving the daily lifting and handling of stock, so we're looking for someone who is equally comfortable getting stuck in as they are being on the road.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced C Licence driver with a strong work ethic, reliable approach and team-focused attitude. This position would suit someone looking for a long-term role within an established and growing business where everyone works together and contributes to the day-to-day operation.

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm and Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm. Nationwide country runs will occasionally require earlier starts of approximately 6:00am–7:00am.

The position offers a starting salary of €20.00 per hour, negotiable depending on experience, with additional daily and country-run allowances.

The successful candidate will join my client directly on a permanent basis. This is not an agency or short-term assignment; I am assisting my client in sourcing a suitable candidate to become a long-term member of their team.

Requirements:

• Full C Licence or higher
• Full, valid Category C driving licence (essential)
• Valid Driver CPC (essential)
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card (essential)
• Previous experience driving Category C / rigid vehicles
• Previous multi-drop or nationwide delivery experience desirable
• Comfortable with physically demanding work, including regular lifting, loading and unloading of stock
• Able to reliably commute to Ashbourne, Co. Meath, including for 6:00am–7:00am starts when required
• Good knowledge of road safety and drivers' hours requirements
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Full working rights in Ireland

Responsibilities:

• Complete nationwide deliveries using a Category C vehicle
• Carry out scheduled deliveries to customers across Ireland
• Load and unload stock as part of daily delivery duties
• Carry out regular manual handling and lifting of stock
• Secure loads appropriately before departure
• Complete vehicle checks before commencing deliveries
• Ensure stock is delivered accurately and in good condition
• Complete all required delivery paperwork and obtain proof of delivery
• Maintain professional communication with customers while on delivery
• Work to scheduled delivery routes while accommodating earlier 6:00am–7:00am starts for country runs
• Assist with loading and other warehouse-related duties when required
• Maintain the vehicle to a clean and professional standard
