My client, a well-established catering and facilities services provider, is currently seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a busy corporate kitchen based in Dublin City Centre.
Position Overview:
As the Sous Chef, you will play a key supporting role within a busy, high-volume corporate kitchen, working closely with the Head/Senior Chef to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of food service. You will assist in overseeing food production, supporting and guiding the kitchen team, and ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene in a fast-paced professional environment.
This role is offered on a 1-year fixed-term contract, working Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a salary of €40,000 per year. There is a view to permanency, depending on client requirements, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef seeking stable daytime hours and long-term progression within corporate catering.
Requirements:
• Min 2+ years Irish experience working as a Sous Chef
• High-volume catering experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
• Ability to support, lead, and motivate a kitchen team
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Full right to work in Ireland
Responsibilities:
• Supporting the day-to-day running of a high-volume kitchen
• Assisting with the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals at scale
• Supervising and supporting kitchen staff during service
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety standards
• Assisting with menu planning, ordering, and stock control
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation
• Working closely with the Senior Chef and site management to ensure smooth service delivery
