My client, a leading provider of workplace catering, cleaning, and soft services solutions, is actively seeking an experienced Facilities Manager (Soft Services) to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis for their location in Co. Waterford.

Position Overview:

As the Facilities Manager (Soft Services), you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the catering and cleaning teams on-site. You will ensure smooth service delivery, high standards of hygiene and presentation, strong staff coordination, and full compliance with health and safety requirements.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and experience managing soft services in a busy environment. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of €23.50, Monday–Friday daytime hours, and an immediate start.

Requirements:

• Experience managing catering, cleaning, soft services, or facilities operations
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities
• Confident conducting audits, inspections, and compliance documentation
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
• Proactive, reliable, and capable of independent decision-making
• Immediate availability preferred

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations across catering and cleaning services
• Lead, support, and motivate onsite teams to achieve service excellence
• Conduct daily task allocation, team briefings, and performance support
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, hygiene standards, and cleaning protocols
• Carry out regular quality inspections, audits, and site checks
• Act as the primary onsite contact for staff, contractors, and stakeholders
• Manage stock, consumables, equipment, and ordering where required
• Maintain compliance records, reports, checklists, and health & safety documentation
• Resolve issues promptly and implement service improvements
• Support the continuous enhancement of service standards
