My client, a leading organisation within the automotive and mobility sector, is now seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join their team in Waterford.
Position Overview:
As the Service Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience while coordinating vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair requirements. Acting as the key link between customers and technicians, you will ensure work is managed efficiently from booking through to completion while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of €35,000 per annum, together with an annual performance bonus of up to 5%. Working on a Monday to Friday schedule, you will join a busy aftersales team where strong communication skills, organisation, and attention to detail are essential to success.
This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ years' experience in a Service Advisor, Aftersales, or dealership-based customer service role.
• Previous experience working within the motor industry is essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
• Experience using dealership management systems or online fleet platforms.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver excellent customer service from vehicle intake through to collection.
• Manage customer bookings and service appointments.
• Translate customer concerns into detailed work instructions for technicians.
• Liaise with technicians regarding service, maintenance, and repair requirements.
• Order parts from suppliers and coordinate deliveries to the workshop.
• Keep customers updated throughout the repair and servicing process.
• Prepare invoices and process customer payments.
• Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records.
• Update internal databases and online systems.
• Support the Service Manager with the smooth operation of the department.
