My client, a leading organisation within the automotive and roadside assistance sector, is now seeking an experienced Recovery Ops Manager to join their team based in Dublin 22.
Position Overview:
As the Recovery Ops Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of a busy recovery team, ensuring operational performance, customer service standards and key business objectives are consistently achieved. You will manage Team Leaders and Recovery Drivers, oversee workforce planning and operational performance, and play a key role in implementing business improvements and driving operational efficiency.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Dublin 22, offering a competitive salary of €67,000–€75,000 depending on experience, plus an annual performance bonus of up to €10,000. The role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with hybrid and flexible working available in line with business requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager with a background in the motor industry, transport, fleet, logistics or recovery services who enjoys leading people, improving operational performance and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis. This is not an agency or short-term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3+ years' experience leading and managing operational teams
• Previous experience within the motor industry, roadside assistance, transport, logistics, fleet or recovery sector
• Professional mechanical experience or a Level 6 Mechanical qualification is advantageous but not essential
• CPC qualification and a good understanding of transport compliance is desirable
• Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
• Experience managing operational KPIs and workforce planning
• Strong commercial awareness and operational decision-making ability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly organised with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Customer-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Full right to work in Ireland
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the recovery team
• Manage Team Leaders and Recovery Drivers to maximise operational performance
• Deliver operational KPIs through effective rostering, absence management and workforce planning
• Forecast operational demand and ensure appropriate resource allocation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational change projects
• Monitor productivity and identify opportunities to improve service delivery
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to achieve high performance
• Build strong relationships across departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Promote a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability and customer service
• Ensure operational procedures and company standards are consistently maintained
