Job Details

My client, a construction cost consultancy providing external quantity surveying and estimating support to construction companies, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Applications are welcome from both intermediate and senior candidates.

This is a permanent role with the client. This is not an agency or short-term role; the successful candidate will be employed by and work for them directly.

The role is mainly remote, with one day per week in the company’s Drumcondra office. This could suit somebody based outside Dublin who is happy to travel to the office once a week. The package includes a pension and 23 days annual leave, with a start required as soon as possible.

The salary range is €55,000–€95,000 per year, depending on experience and level. Intermediate candidates will generally be considered within €55,000–€70,000, with senior candidates within €80,000–€95,000.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare quantity take-offs, bills of quantities and project cost estimates.
• Assist with tender documentation, pricing and subcontractor comparisons.
• Prepare and review valuations, variations and cost reports.
• Support procurement, subcontractor accounts and final account preparation.
• Liaise with clients and project teams on costs, documentation and commercial queries.
• At senior level, take ownership of client work and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.

Requirements:

• Relevant quantity surveying experience within the Irish construction industry.
• Experience in measurement, cost control and the commercial administration of construction projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and quantity surveying software.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and organisation skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently across client assignments.
• Ability to attend the Drumcondra office one day per week.

If you meet the above requirements and are seeking an exciting new challenge, please forward your CV for immediate consideration and a confidential call back to discuss the role in more detail. Your CV will never be sent to anybody without your permission.
