My client, a well-established construction company, is currently seeking a Qualified Carpenter with strong roofing experience to join their busy and expanding team based in Co. Wexford.

Position Overview:

As the Qualified Carpenter, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality construction and roofing work across a range of residential and commercial projects. You will be based primarily at the company’s main site in Wexford, with travel to Wicklow and Dublin as required.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a starting salary of €45,000 per year, which is negotiable depending on experience. A company van and fuel card will be provided to support travel between sites. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as required to meet project deadlines.

You will work closely with site management and other skilled trades, ensuring all carpentry and roofing works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. This role offers excellent long-term stability within an established and reputable construction company.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly

Requirements:

• Fully qualified carpenter (National Apprenticeship or equivalent certification)
• Proven experience in roofing, first fix, and general carpentry works
• Strong understanding of site safety and construction procedures
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Full, clean driving licence (essential)
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (required)
• Good communication and teamwork skills with a reliable, proactive attitude

Responsibilities:

• Carry out all aspects of carpentry work, with a focus on roofing and structural carpentry
• Work closely with site management to ensure tasks are completed safely and to a high standard
• Measure, cut, and assemble timber components in line with project drawings and specifications
• Conduct roof installations, repairs, and finishing works on both residential and commercial sites
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Support junior team members and collaborate with other trades to meet project deadlines
