My client, a trusted and long-established name in the Motor Industry, is currently seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team based in Co. Wexford.

Position Overview:

As the HGV Mechanic, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repair, and inspection work on a range of heavy goods and commercial vehicles to the highest safety and quality standards. CVRT experience is desirable, but full training can be provided for the right candidate.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Wexford, offering a competitive salary of up to €45,000 per year negotiable. The role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), with occasional Saturday work, providing long-term stability, professional development, and a supportive team environment.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified HGV Mechanic or equivalent trade certification.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
• CVRT experience desirable (training will be provided if required).
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with an excellent eye for detail.
• Knowledge of RSA compliance and safety standards an advantage.
• Full, clean Category B Licence (Category C Licence desirable).
• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and mechanical repairs on HGVs and light commercial vehicles.
• Support CVRT testing and preparation processes in line with RSA standards.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Ensure all vehicles meet road safety and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate service and repair documentation.
• Uphold high workshop standards and contribute to a positive, safety-driven team culture.
