Our client is a well-established Cork-based engineering consultancy, renowned for delivering high-impact infrastructure and residential projects across Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking Structural Design Engineers to join their expanding team and contribute to a range of challenging and rewarding developments.

Position Overview:

As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality structural solutions across a variety of projects including roads, sewerage systems, and large-scale residential developments. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure structural integrity, compliance, and efficient project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Develop structural designs for residential, civil, and infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical input across all project phases, from concept to construction.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant Irish standards, codes, and planning regulations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Conduct structural analysis using appropriate software tools.
• Provide site support during construction and respond to technical queries.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, reports, and specifications.

Requirements:

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in structural design, preferably in roads, sewerage, or residential sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and planning procedures.
• Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Tekla.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is a distinct advantage.
