Civils Foreman – Residential Projects – Co. Wicklow

My Client, one of Irelands leading construction contractors are currently recruiting for Civils Foreman to join their growing team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site professional who is confident managing civils operations in a fast-paced residential environment and who wants to join a financially secure, long-term employer with a strong name in the market.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all groundworks and civil subcontractors across 2 residential developments in Co. Wicklow
• Supervise day-to-day civils activity on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme
• Oversee drainage, kerbing, roads, ducting, service installations and associated infrastructure works
• Ensure all Irish water-related systems and installations are carried out to the required standards and specifications
• Liaise closely with site management, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain progress across both projects
• Monitor quality of works and ensure high standards are maintained throughout
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed by all subcontractors on site
• Assist in planning site activities, sequencing works and resolving any day-to-day site issues quickly and effectively

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Civils Foreman / Groundworks Foreman / Civils Supervisor on construction projects in Ireland
• Strong background managing groundworks and civil subcontractors rather than working hands-on on the tools
• Proven experience with Irish water systems is essential
• Previous residential construction experience would be a strong advantage
• Strong ability to manage subcontractors, coordinate site activity and drive programme
• Good communication skills and strong spoken English are essential
• Must have previous experience working in Ireland
• Full driving licence preferred
