I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering major road, transport, and infrastructure projects across Ireland, in the recruitment of a Site Agent to join their team.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of the BusConnects project in Dublin, taking responsibility for site coordination, daily operations, programme delivery, health and safety, quality, reporting, and communication with project stakeholders.

Candidates must have previous experience working on road projects and be willing to travel to site 5 days per week. A valid Safe Pass and full clean driving licence are required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day to day site operations on road, civils, and infrastructure works.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, materials, and daily work activities.
• Support programme delivery and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and wider project team.
• Monitor progress, raise site issues, and help resolve delays or delivery challenges.
• Ensure health and safety standards are implemented and maintained across site activities.
• Maintain site records, reports, diaries, paperwork, and project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, local stakeholders, and internal teams where required.
• Support quality control, compliance, and practical construction delivery across the project.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Site Agent, Senior Engineer, General Foreman, Site Manager, or similar on civil engineering projects.
• Experience working on road projects is essential.
• Experience in civils, drainage, utilities, traffic management, public realm, or transport infrastructure is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of site coordination, programme delivery, quality, safety, and documentation.
• Confident managing site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and daily work activities.
• Strong communication, leadership, organisation, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Relevant qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Valid Safe Pass is essential.
