I am currently assisting my client, a well established civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering major road, transport, and infrastructure projects across Ireland, in the recruitment of a Junior Site Engineer to join their team.
This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of the BusConnects project in Dublin, assisting with setting out, site surveying, reporting, quality checks, health and safety, and project documentation. This role would suit a Junior Site Engineer with 1+ years’ experience on civil engineering projects, ideally roads, greenways, public realm, utilities, or similar infrastructure works.
Candidates must be willing to travel to site 5 days per week. A valid Safe Pass and full clean driving licence are required.
Responsibilities:
• Support setting out and site surveying activities.
• Assist Senior Engineers and Site Agents with daily site operations.
• Help monitor progress, quality, health and safety, and compliance on site.
• Complete site diaries, records, reports, and project documentation.
• Assist with the control of plant, materials, and site resources.
• Attend site meetings and raise any site issues where required.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support the delivery of road, civils, drainage, utilities, and transport infrastructure works.
Requirements:
• Minimum 1+ years’ experience on civil engineering projects.
• Experience on roads, greenways, public realm, utilities, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Previous experience as a Junior Site Engineer, Graduate Engineer, Setting Out Engineer, or similar.
• Some setting out or site surveying experience is preferred.
• Relevant qualification in civil engineering, construction, or a related discipline is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Valid Safe Pass is essential.
• Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills.
• Motivated, reliable, and willing to learn from senior site teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
