Total Solutions are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Engineer or Project Manager on behalf of our client, a well established and well known civil engineering and utilities contractor, for an urgent 3 month contract based in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin.

This is a client facing role on a live water infrastructure project involving vital upgrade works to replace ageing water mains, reduce drinking water leakage, and improve local network reliability.

The successful candidate will have strong experience within civils, utilities, or water projects, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage project reporting, programmes, and client updates to a high standard.

While this is initially a 3 month contract, there is a strong possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate following completion of the project.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support the delivery of a live water infrastructure project in Rathcoole.
• Act as a client facing point of contact, ensuring clear and professional communication throughout the project.
• Prepare, review, and manage project reports, updates, and progress documentation.
• Assist with project programmes, timelines, and delivery planning.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, clients, and key stakeholders to support smooth project delivery.
• Monitor progress on site and help identify any risks, delays, or issues that may impact the programme.
• Ensure works are completed in line with project requirements, health and safety standards, and client expectations.
• Support the wider project team with technical, operational, and programme related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, Project Manager, Site Manager, or similar within civils, utilities, or water infrastructure.
• Strong experience working on civil engineering, utilities, or water related projects is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to deal with clients and key stakeholders.
• Strong reporting, documentation, and programme management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in an urgent, live project environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of site operations, project coordination, and delivery requirements.
• Must be available for an immediate start.
