We are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider supporting a major pharmaceutical client in Waterford. They are seeking a Level 6 Qualified Electrician to step into a Facilities Technical Lead role, overseeing maintenance operations in a highly regulated, high-performance manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role where the successful candidate will balance technical electrical work with coordination of preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and operational improvements across the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day site maintenance activities.
• Manage and oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Respond to and coordinate reactive maintenance to ensure rapid resolution of issues.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams while remaining hands-on where required.
• Ensure all works comply with safety, regulatory, and pharmaceutical site standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within maintenance operations.
• Liaise with site management to support maintenance strategies and operational performance.

Requirements:

• Level 6 Qualified Electrician (essential).
• Strong experience working in pharma, manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume production environments.
• Proven experience leading or coordinating maintenance operations.
• Strong understanding of PPM systems, reactive maintenance, and facility operations.
• Ability to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
