Our client is a well-established construction company with a strong reputation for reliability and long-term success. They are currently seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their in-house team and ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of their vehicle fleet.

Position Overview:

As an In-House HGV Mechanic, you will play a key role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles on-site. This is a long-term, stable opportunity for a mechanic who enjoys working as part of a supportive and skilled team within a busy construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained to road safety and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot faults and carry out preventative maintenance.
• Keep accurate service and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with site and transport managers to schedule vehicle inspections and work.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a HGV Mechanic.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Relevant trade qualifications.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with compliance and roadworthiness regulations.
