My client, a well-established contractor within the road maintenance and surfacing sector, is seeking a motivated Construction Truck Driver to support their operations based in Co. Cork.

Position Overview:

As the Construction Truck Driver, you will play an essential role in transporting materials, aggregates, and machinery to and from construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to support ongoing site operations.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining your vehicle to high safety standards, completing daily checks, and adhering to all transport and site regulations to ensure smooth logistics and safe site coordination.

This is a full-time, permanent position based from the Cork depot, offering a competitive salary of €45,000 – €55,000 per year, depending on experience. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend work depending on site demands. Accommodation can be provided if required.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• Full, clean HGV Licence (Category C essential; CE desirable)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card
• Min 3+ years Construction Truck Driving experience (essential)
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance on and off site
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or night shifts in line with project schedules
• Reliable, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate construction trucks (e.g. tippers, grab trucks, or flatbeds) to transport materials, aggregates, and equipment to and from active sites
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate transport logs
• Adhere to all road traffic, site access, and H&S regulations
• Assist with loading/unloading operations and coordinate with site foremen to ensure timely deliveries
• Support site teams with general logistics and movement of plant/materials as required
• Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients and site personnel
